Upon joining Clan Tarentum you have the option of being part of a Master-Student pairing (just like in the books and movies). Your Master will serve as a friend and mentor, guiding you from your introduction into the clan until your elevation to Dark Jedi Knight. Masters play a part in the Trials of Knighthood that all Dark Jedi must take to become a full Dark Jedi Knight. Though it is not required you have a Master, but you are strongly encouraged to take part in this. The following outlines the rights and corresponding duties under which Apprenticeships take place. Guidelines

For Masters:

    1. Masters shall be an active member of the Brotherhood as a whole and within Clan Tarentum.
    2. Masters shall be a role model for their student and keep any disagreement private.
    3. Masters shall be responsible for explaining/identifying the rules of behavior for the Brotherhood and Clan Tarentum to their apprentice.
    4. Masters shall strive to keep their student active and involved in the Brotherhood, so long as it does not conflict with real life matters for either of us.
    5. Masters shall be the one to initiate the trials process for their student after he or she has obtained the rank of Jedi Hunter. Clan and House leaders may advise for or against the trials.
    6. Upon entering the trials phase, Masters shall be the one to announce the trials to their student starting with a short fictional entry concerning the initiation of trials.
    7. Masters may develop a special training program for their apprentice, including setting specific goals for advancement.
    8. An apprentice has the right to break the contract if he/she feels that the Masters is not performing their duties.

For Apprentices:
    1. Apprentices shall maintain regular communication with their Master.
    2. Apprentices shall fulfill the tasks their Master sets for them within the predefined time limit.
    3. Apprentices shall shall remain active in their House and Clan to ensure regular progression through the ranks.
